01 — About me
I studied Computer Science at the University of Salford, graduating in 2025. I'm interested in data science, AI, data mining and problem solving. Object-oriented programming in Java, C# and Python is where I enjoy myself most. Today I work in IT Operations & Monitoring, keeping banking services running around the clock.
02 — Experience
03 — Education & journey
BSc (Hons) Computer Science, University of Salford, United Kingdom, 2025.
Object-oriented programming clicked for me early on, and I built projects in Java, C# and Python using OOP principles.
Data structures and algorithms, database systems with SQL, Linux and Bash scripting, and building websites.
Finding patterns in data, and the theory behind how intelligent systems search, learn and reason.
An open-world Lord of the Rings game in Unity about the last battle at the end of the world, a VR mission set in that world, and a week trying out Unreal Engine.
A camera app that reads text and translates it live using Google Cloud Vision and Google Translate. Then I graduated.
Started as an Associate in IT Operations & Monitoring.
04 — Final year project
Pick your language, turn on the camera, and any text in view is detected and translated live while the camera keeps running.
The camera never stops. Text is detected and translated continuously, frame after frame. Show it a random sign, or write your own text in any language.
🔒 Your text goes straight from your browser to Google Translate. This site never sees or stores it, but please don’t type anything private.
Translate into:
React Native with Expo: a loading screen, a home screen and a camera view built with expo-camera.
Preprocesses frames, then calls Cloud Vision for text detection and Google Translate for the target language.
05 — Game development
Academic game projects in Unity and C#, set in Middle-earth.
Unity · C# · Open world
In Tolkien’s legend, the world ends with the Last Battle (the Dagor Dagorath): every force of good and evil rises again for one final fight. In my game, evil wins and Morgoth’s armies take over. But one good man never fought in that battle. He wakes up on the shore of an island and recognises famous landmarks: the two great statues of the Argonath, Mount Doom, and the gates of Moria. He soon learns the land is crawling with orcs and a troll, so to survive he has to fight his way through and defeat Morgoth himself.
Unity · VR
Built afterwards as an extension of the game: a virtual reality mission where you see the world through the hero’s eyes, sword in hand, as you attack an orc camp.
Main engine
My go-to engine. Both Middle-earth projects, the open world and the VR mission, were built in Unity with C#.
Hands-on week
When an Unreal Engine vendor visited, we got to use the engine for free for a week. It was a good chance to compare its workflow with Unity's.
06 — Data & web
Data analysis
Analysed a retail sales dataset. I cleaned missing and inconsistent values, explored trends and sales patterns, applied basic statistics to performance and correlations, and presented the insights as charts.
Web development
A fully functional website for a fictional basketball academy, built for a university web module.
Text and object detection with OpenCV.
Data storage and query processing with SQL.
Programming projects in Python, C# and Java built on OOP principles.
07 — Playground
A few small interactive toys from the data structures and algorithms side of computer science. Have a go.
